The foundation for this project began with a new logo and collateral design. The completed, two sided business card is pictured at the right.A functional, database driven web site accompanies the business card keeping the same clean, simple visual identity in mind. The web site itself is small and offers visitors a short background on the home, the location and directions to the home and a simple contact form. What makes this web site stand out is the fact that the director has the ability to add and remove online obituary notices just as can be seen in newspapers. There is also a unique opportunity for those who may not be in the area or for some reason unable to attend services, to sign an online condolence book which accompanies each obituary notice.
The web site screen shots at the right picture the directions / location page and the administration section accessed by the director allowing him to update the web site by typing in new information online. Anyone with the proper permissions can administer any web site through a system such as this. There is no need to learn any programming. If you can fill out a form on the internet and click 'submit', then you can update a web site fit with this technology in real time.
This is only one example of a business that has benefitted from a web site. You would not think a funeral home would have use for a web site, but thought out, designed and executed properly, this web site has worked and proved cost effective for its owner.
The web site is hosted through Magicwebs Interactive, housed on a UNIX server and uses a SQL database and PHP programming. For more information on the cost of this project or one similar, please use the contact form on send an email inquiry.
